Obituary of Ruth Doran

Ruth Doran, born in Pembroke Ontario and residing in Chapeau Quebec, at the age of 90, died Tuesday December 5, 2023.   Beloved wife of late Victor Gagnon of Chapeau, Quebec (m2004;d2018) and of late Gerard Dunberry (m1953;d1996) of Montreal, Quebec.  Ruth was a proud volunteer, speech therapist and social-worker for her loving students of St. Willibroad and St. Thomas Moore elementary schools in Verdun, Quebec during 70s, 80s and 90s.  Having retired, Ruth & Gerard returned to Pembroke as promised to each other years earlier to live closer to her mom and siblings and enjoy their time together.  Loving Mother of Suzanne Logue (Merdick McFarlane), Denise Hill (Louie Daigle); and Robert Dunberry (Yvonne Cheng).  Step mother of Suzanne (Garry Gagnon), Christine (Larry Turner), Beverley (Perry Pias); and Vickie Lynn (James MacNabb).  Cherished grandmother of Jason and David Bourdeau, Jennifer, Jasmine and Lindsey Hill, Savannah Dunberry and great grandmother of Severn, Alesha, Sabrina, Kaylee, Liam, Riley, Layla, Owen, Willie, Rhys, and great-great grandmother of Ryker & Noah.   Predeceased by her siblings Junior Doran (Dwelya), Jack Doran, Bill Doran (Gwen), Peter Doran (Faye), Paulette Furnival (Rick).  Survived by her siblings Pat Deighton (Hartley) and Grant Doran (Barb). 

No Visitation will be held.  Interment will be on Friday, April 26^th, 2024 at 3:00PM at St. Columba’s Cemetery “Section A5” (23 Tv Tower Rd, Pembroke, ON K8A 6W6 - https://maps.app.goo.gl/PVzva2PJrRZ691Yy8 )   Celebration of life” with light snacks and refreshments will be at held afterwards at 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Pembroke Legion (202 Pembroke St E, Pembroke, ON K8A 3J7 - https://maps.app.goo.gl/qSYkvULVMT1YYkkeA )
