Obituary of Harwood "Hardy" Doherty

It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that the family of Harwood “Hardy” Doherty announces his sudden passing on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in Pontiac Community Hospital, Shawville, Quebec at the age of 79.  Hardy was the eldest son of the late Viola and Ivan Doherty and the brother of the late Cheryl and late Kylie.  He is survived by his siblings; Ronnie, Connie, Randy, Rhonda and their families.  He was a proud uncle of his many nieces and nephews and particularly enjoyed spending time with his nephew Jeff.  Much loved father of Jill (Bryan) of Oregon and Paul (Rina) of Massachusetts.  He was the very proud Grandpa to Kylie and Jake Doherty.  Hardy will get very much missed by his dear friend, Carol Harding, as well as his many many other friends.  Hardy found pleasure in the simple things in life, cooking at the hunt camp, coaching hockey, chocolate chip cookies, a corny joke and watching Kylie and Jake play their many sports.
