Most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Harwood. Many fun times with him and the boys while I tended bar for their fundraising golf tournaments. Guess many of them are telling tall tales with a brew or two now. Rest in peace Hardy. Kathy and John.

I wanted to write a few thoughts of our dear brother Hardy. If anyone knew Hardy they knew he was a quick witted, soft spoken guy. He always had a joke to tell.If he was quiet,he was likely thinking of the best joke to tell to his audience.
Hardy came west a few times to visit us in Edmonton. I brought Hardy to my workplace to introduce my fellow coworkers and see my office, He met my boss Harry, who also is a quick witted, funny guy. After exchanging a bit of chit chat, a few jokes and some local history etc Harry said to Hardy,"Well Hardy I have worked with your sister Connie for several years now and all I can say is; you can pick your friends but you can't pick your relatives." Hardy thought this was hilarious. Many years later each time I would get together with Hardy and even during our telephone conversations, Hardy would always bring up my old boss Harry and retell this story, I am sure everyone has many untold stories to share. We all have many !!!
Hardy will be missed by all who meet him. He will be missed for his good natured character and gentle soul that he was.
Cheers Hardy! Until we all meet you in Heaven you will be remembered and missed,
Hugs
Love you always,
Your sister Connie & Calvin and I am sure all who knew you.xoxo

To Harwood's Family & Friends;
Always enjoyed chatting with Harwood; HIs dear Aunt Doris who was my previous Friend used to service us a little
lunch every Thursday afternoon at her house......which Harwood and I really enjoyed.
Harwood would share with us some of his delicious recipes, he cooked at the Camp. We had lots of laughs and joyful times.
"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through
Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7
Our great Hope as Believers we will meet our loved one in Eternity

Hardy and I were also first cousins, with him being just a couple months younger than me. He was a gentle soul with a good sense of humour. Besides our kinship, we also shared the dreaded gene that caused us to have Retinitus Pigmentosa. Somehow I felt he had a close connection with Pa Elliott who was also a gentle soul so it’s ok to say goodbye to Hardy knowing that he’s being welcomed by a loving family. Sincere condolences to Jill and Paul and families and Carol and Jeff and his family. And to Randy and Rhonda and Ronnie and Connie and their families.

To Jill, Paul,and family
It is with heavy heart I write this tribute. Hardy and I are first cousins and with only 10 months difference in age .we were very close.
He had such poor health and losing his sight made it difficult to travel to see his kids and grandchildren. He was so proud of them and loved telling you of their accomplishments.
He was so fortunate to have Randy and family in Shawville to help him out. He is now with his Mom and Dad, Kylie and Cheryl
RIP
