I still remember staying with Grant and Leona on the farm back when I was a very young lad. It was very measningful to me and I learned so much from that experience. To this day I have many fond memories of that time.
Later on, Dawn got to know Leona and we shared our adoration of her. She will continue to shine brightly in our memories.

Our sincere condolences to Leona's family on the loss of a wonderful Mom and Grandma.
When we were children, my brother and I occasionally visited the Eades farm, where my mother grew up. I was in total of awe of Leona - she was gogeous and so hard-working - helping with milking and chores, and feeding family, workers and visitors like us. It wasn't until much later that I realized how young she and Grant were to be running the farm.
Over the years, my hasband and I attended various celebrations, including an Eades reunion at the farm in the early 1970s, a visit to her shop, and some weddings, anniversaries and funerals.. The last time I saw Leona was about 18 months ago when I stopped in for a visit. She had prepared a huge plate of sandwiches and a pan of squares. We had a good couple of hours catching up on family news, and she talked fondly about her boys and the rest of her family. I know she will be much missed.

Our sincere sympathy to Leona’s family and friends. She was such a lovely lady, always impeccably dressed. She was ready for a chat if I was walking by or with a wave if I was driving by and she was sitting on her front step. Take comfort in her long life and that she joined her loved ones that went before her.

I am so pleased that I enjoyed a little visit with Leona, Ron and Dixie on Canada Dale. Leona had her special beautiful smile and of course dressed in style for the day. We are saddened to hear that your Mom has passed away.
Always smiling whether at Shawville Chrysler, shopping at Giant Tiger or at home or anywhere where I bumped into her.
Always dressed perfectly, with her hair perfect would find time to discuss anything with me. She was obviously aware of our friendship but that just strengthened the bond and our scope of conversation.
Shawville has just lost a beautiful lady that lived a healthy life just days away from her 97th!
Remember the good days and boy there are many. Mom has now joined her husband, sister and grandson. Rest in peace Mrs. Eades, you have earned it!
Love Ken and Carole
