Barry, Gail, and ALL of Sandra's "families!"
We think of close friends and neighbors as loved people that will forever be with us. In the blink of an eye; they move on. leaving pain and suffering behind to go to where they are needed even more than here! Jeannie and I are fortunate enough to have had Sandra living beside us; putting up with farm smells and noises, dust and machine lights interrupting quiet nights, escaped animals trotting through their garden and over their lawn at all hours. Sandra was our landlord for decades for some land that we farmed without ever complaining about how we looked after it. Even in years when Sandra was not on village council; she was my "go-to" for a young councilor like me to address many difficult decisions. Our little town, county, province, and country has lost one of our greatest custodians! We pray that some of the concern and kindness that Sandra bestowed on us, rubbed off and when faced with tough decisions, we will think back about what Sandra would do! R.I.P. Sandra.

I first met Sandra on a School Bus...she was a delightful little girl......she caught the bus on the Sand Bay Road and I got it
on Route 303 Starks Corners......Many year later we both worked at PCH. We had many discussions on the Bible and she was

I am so so sad to read this, she'd posted that she was hospitalized last week. Sandra was a woman that believed in doing good for her community, while Mayor of Shawville she stood and spoke on behalf of many local issues that she held close to her heart. I was always proud of her and also happy to have called her my friend. I am thinking of you all.
