Bob, Wyatt and all those who had the privilege of having Sandra in their life. We were lucky enough to be some of those people. I have known Sandra all my life. We grew up only a few miles apart and our families were neighbors and friends. Being from a small community and growing up in a world where when your neighbor needed you you were there. Your neighbors machinery broke down you dropped what you were doing and showed up to help. Sandra adopted that way of life and whenever you needed something or someone she would be there. In addition to her kindness, great sense of humour and her infectious smile, she was honest, transparent and spoke her mind with pride. You did not have to guess where she stood on any given topic. We appreciated that and I hope she knew just how much. I do hope that she knew how much she was loved and appreciated by so many. When you love so deeply it makes grief so much more profound. Bob, Wyatt, Darlene, Evelyn, Sayward take one day at a time and when you miss her the most she will be at your side whispering in your ear. Lean on each other. Our hearts are breaking for all of you. Sandra brought so much joy and humour to this world. I am in shock. Sandra, lover of horror movies, (high school sleepovers where we watched horror movies, she watched, laughing, I cowered on the couch, a bag of terror infested nerves, screaming. Sandra would then sleep like a log, and I would lie awake hearing every creak, waiting for Chucky, Jason, or Freddie to come for me). No matter how much time would pass, whenever we met, I felt our friendship. She was hard working, a community leader, always facing life with her amazing sense of humour. I hope she knows how much respect and love I held for her. Family was everything, Bob, and Wyatt, Darlene, Evelyn and families, you made her life full and wonderful!
