Obituary of Barney Richardson

It is with heavy hearts and much sadness we share that Barney passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 in Shawville hospital surrounded by his loving wife Heather of 29 wonderful years and his devoted family.  Predeceased by his parents Ebert Richardson and Kathleen Hodgins and siblings Royce (late Joyce), Sheila (Charlie), Brenda (Bert (Darlene)) and stepdaughter Tammy.  He will be dearly missed by his son Mark (Jessica), stepson Randy (Adele) & Ricky.  Survived and missed by brothers and sisters Claire (late Henry Lunam), Marlyn (Norris Angus), Diane (late Joey Keon), Murray (Gloria), Mona (Earl Newton), Myles (Marsha), Mike (Janice), Rick (Bonnie). Loving grandfather of Briggs and Rori, Brock and Derian (Erin), Kayla and Travis.  Great grandfather of Dawson, Arabella, Skylar and Braelynne.  He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Barney will be remembered by all who knew him for his passion of fishing and hunting with his brothers and his reputation as a jokester and talent for mimicking.  Barney was everyone’s Mr. Fix-It.  The family wishes to thank the staff of the Shawville Hospital for their compassion and care. Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 6 in Shawville United Church, Shawville, Quebec at 1 p.m.  Interment Village Cemetery.  Donations to the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
