Peacefully passed away at the Gatineau Hospital with his loving children by his side on Sunday March 1, 2020 at the age of 65 years. Jimmy Gallagher of Allumette Island, Quebec, beloved husband of Maureen Gallagher (nee Prankie). Loved and cherished father of David Gallagher (Julie) of Ottawa, Ontario and Andrea Gallagher (Felix Thiel) of Pointe-Claire, Quebec. Proud, devoted and dearly loved grandpa of Liam and Noah Thiel, James, (the late Christian), and Chloé Gallagher. Loving son of Jean Gallagher (nee Meehan) and the late Michael Joseph (MJ) Gallagher of Allumette Island, Quebec. Dear brother of Joan Prankie (John) of Grande Prairie, Alberta, Jerry (Louise) of Pembroke, Ontario and Bobby (Christine) of Allumette Island, Quebec. Caring brother in-law to Ann Marie Duff (Emmett) of Sudbury, Ontario, David Prankie (Susie) of Brandon Manitoba, John Prankie (Joan) of Grande Prairie, Alberta, and Robert Prankie of Pembroke, Ontario. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 56 St. Jacques Street, Chapeau, Quebec on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 1 to 5 p.m and Friday, March 6, 2020 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church, Allumette Island (St. Joseph), Quebec on Friday, March 6 at 11:00 a.m. Reception will follow.
