My deepest sympathies to the families. I worked with Edith at the pulp mill in Portage du Fort,PQ. She was a lovely lady with the most beautiful smile that lit up a room. Our paths cross again about two years ago while she was living in Campbell's Bay. She remembered me and even though years had passed she looked as attractive as ever. A beautiful soul.

We were so sorry to hear the news and sorry we aren't there for the service. We want to send our condolences from afar. Mrs Elliott was a special person, so kind and gentle. I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Aunt Edith. I was planning on having a big visit with her in the next couple of weeks because I would be home for the Wilson reunion. Now God will get to welcome her home. I plan to see some of you in the near future. Remember all the great family times...I am sure they were so special. Aunt Edith was one of my favourite people and I will miss her. She always took the time to show her support and love. Now Ed and Dad can enjoy her company- and I am sure they will.

So very sad to hear this loss for the Elliott family. Edith was my very favourite Stark's Corner lady. A true lady with a heart as wonderful as her smile. To all of Edith's family: Words cannot express my sadness As a worker at St.Josephs Manor I got to know Edith and Russell well. After Russell's passing we all got into protective mode over Edith. She was like a Mom to us and we loved her dearly. So glad to have gotten to know her and her family. As I was the one seeing her first thing in the morning I will cherish our little chats and hugs and will miss her everyday. I will quote a favorite song of mine by the Eagles and sing there is a hole in the world tonight. The world was a better place because Susan Edith Hanna Elliott was in it. God Speed Edith.

Edith was a gentle, friendly and lovely woman. She dined at the same table as my Mom and on Mom's first day at "Friends", of course we were nervous and apprehensive so I stayed for supper, and had the pleasure of meeting Edith. She told us, "if you can't be at home anymore, this is where you want to be." I was so grateful for her reassurance. I am sad that she is gone. She will be missed.
