Obituary of Francis "Frank" Wiggins

 A finer man we never knew!

After 91 joyous years, Francis (Frank) Wiggins peacefully passed away on July 24th, 2017 at the Shawville Hospital. He now joins his beloved dancing partner in life Lillian (nee Bradley). He was a loving father to Lonnie (Anne), Cheryl (Yvan), Janet (Leo), Cory and baby Gunner or as he called him, Gunther.

Cherished grandfather of Jason (Mandy), Heather, Karen (Brad), Justin (Alexe), Tanya (Dan), Brittany (Kris), Colleen (Stephane), and Charlie. Also blessed with a beautiful great granddaughter Abby, and two handsome great grand babies Max and Riley. He is survived by his dear sister Laura (late Blair Prior) and predeceased by brothers Roy, Ray, and Fred.

To Dr. Ruth VanderStelt a great big thank you. Your many years of providing outstanding care to Francis are greatly appreciated. Also thank you to the Emergency, General Care and Physio staff at the Shawville Hospital for the care and kindness they provided during his short time there.

He will be missed by all who have known him, especially those who visited his beloved Sugar Shack; seeing him rocking in the big lazy boy with the fiddle tunes blaring and hearing the words “would you have a wee snort”

He has taken his seat at the Big Euchre table with his ole partners Ray and Fred, and there may be the odd fish’n trip to Halls Lake with his ole buddy Truman and a few hunting stories with Ronnie.

The Pontiac will surely miss the ole lad with the long white hair touring around in the big white wood paneled station wagon most likely heading to an auction sale with Fred. Bet him and Fred are bidding a dollar or two on a box of treasures right now, hopefully they have a trailer with them!!

He always had a healthy appetite especially when it came to desserts and if presented with a choice, you would always hear him say “One is good and the other is a whole lot better.” Glad to know you have found your “whole lot better”!

You will live for eternity in our memories.

As per Frank’s wishes there is no visitation or service. Now that Frank and Lillian are reunited a celebration of their life will be arranged for a later date.
