Obituary of Jack Smith

Jack Smith, a long time resident of Shawville, Quebec, passed away peacefully in hospital on June 29, 2017.  Born in Maniwaki, Quebec in 1944.  Predeceased by his parents, Alvin Smith and Stella McAllister, and by his wife, Reine-Marie (nee St-Pierre, 2003).  Survived by his faithful partner, Ellen Woods-Hodgins.  Loving father of Matthew (Dalia) and Caroline Smith.  Cherished Grandpa of Ceilidh and Foster.  Dear brother of Lola, Bernard, Pam (Bryan Hlady), Julie (Bernie Swords) and predeceased by Donna (Robert McRae).  Survived by many nieces and nephews.  Cremation. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 in St. Edward’s Church, Bristol, Quebec at 11 a.m.  Following the Mass a reception will take place in Jack Graham Community Centre (next to the Church).  There will be no receiving line, the family will visit with friends following the lunch.  Donations to the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation or St. Edward’s Parish would be appreciated.
