Obituary of Gwen O'Leary (nee Hearty)

Passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the age of 71. Daughter of the late Joseph Hearty and the late Viola Cleary. Gwen was raised in Vinton, Quebec where she spent her childhood. She later moved to Ottawa to practice her career and after her marriage to her beloved late husband, Ken O’Leary, moved and raised their daughter in Dorval, Quebec. Gwen and Ken retired back to Vinton, where they lived for the past 22 years. She is survived by her daughter Dina (Andrew Gregson), granddaughter Grace, brothers Francis and Lloyd along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers William, Robert, Leo, Bert, Darrell, Donald and Thomas and a sister Isobel. Special thanks is extended to her nieces Kelly and Kerrie Hearty, Linda and Aurel Paquette and cousin Cathy McCrank for being her caregivers since the passing of her husband in February of this year. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, Vinton, Quebec. Donations to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated.
