I wish to send my condolences to Mrs.Way....This is a very special lady,,i met her when her husband was sick..Then I met her this November in the hospital..She was a patient who in the Shawville hospital..She was next door to my mother's room..I would stop in and see her a couple of times a day,,I have a great memory of her when I had a pizza party with my relatives when my mother was sick..I asked her if she would like a piece of the pizza and she was very happy to get something differnet to eat..Then I went back and offered her a another piece and her friend who was visiting had the last piece..She always had a smile for me when I was having a bad day with my mom she gave me lots of encouragement when I needed it.Rest in Peace my new friend

My sincerest condolences on the passing of Florence. She was a truly wonderful person. She brought sunshine in to the lives of so many at our local hospital. It is with incredible sadness that we heard of Aunt Florences death...Its quite remarkable how we think some will live forever and such was the case with Aunt Florence. She was always there when people needed her especially when it came to those at the hospital in Shawville. What an incredible woman who was there for all when they needed her most at their bedside. When Dad was so ill in the hospital she opened her doors to both Mom and myself for a place to stay when I came out from BC to be with Dad while he was in the hospital. For that I will be always so grateful. Our thoughts are with all at this time especially Judy and Barry...Thanks Aunt Florence for being there for us all when we needed you the most...we will be for always grateful...

I grew up in Shawville. My mom is Lila Dale. We have so many fond memories of Florence. She was a wonderful woman, and always had a kind smile, and a great sense of humor with me. Mom is very sad tonight, that she has lost another wonderful sole. Mom spoke to her this winter from Newfoundland and we knew that she was not well. She was one of the last people I spoke to before moving here. She wished me well, but was worried that mom would be too lonely. She laughed when she discovered mom follows me every year for the winter!
A sad time for your family, but know that hers was a life well lived, and she was a well respected woman.
