Dear Family of your late and Beloved Elva,
I have a beautiful photo of Elva which was taken at St. Patrick's Spaghetti Dinner. I'll try to locate it and add it before the Guest Book goes off line.
Elva and her sister Beryl attended Dominion-Chalmers Harmony (Outreach) Group for seniors. Elva's special friends presented her with a birthday card and gift on her first visit. One gift was precious as it was a handmade quilt from Victoria's Quilts Canada. This quilt was requested by her special church friends from St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Victoria's Quilts Canada donates a quilt to cancer patients and survivors when requested. Many members of this worthy organization have been afflicted by this incurable disease. The over 50,000 quilts donated over many years have been made by people who have dedicated many volunteer hours to make them, and including a great deal of love and compassion.
I'll remember this quiet, pleasant and appreciative lady. She passed away on a special day in my life.

I just now learned of your Mom's passing. Donna I am so sincerely sorry for the pain you are going through. I know how much you loved your Mom and how blessed you were to have had each other.

To All of Elva's Family.
My deepest condolences on the loss of such a great lady.I had the immense pleasure of working beside Elva for many years. When I met her I was a young pup of twenty and starting work at a women's group home knowing nothing. I learned so much from Elva. She had a very caring but no nonsense way with the Residents and they all respected and loved her. She was my Mentor. From Elva I learned how to care for people with lots of love while at the same time getting the job done. Elva had a great sense of humour and we laughed a lot. Elva was a very special woman who I will miss very much. I told her all my secrets and all my triumphs and she always had my back. I love you to the moon and back Mrs. P.
