Obituary of Etta Martha McLaughlin (nee Fleming)

Etta Martha McLaughlin (nee Fleming) of Venosta, Quebec was born in Grande Prairie, Alberta in 1930 and died March 20, 2017 in Gracefield, Quebec. She drove the local school bus and delivered mail in Venosta for many years. She loved the farm and any time she spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their many cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her husband, Edward who shared her life for 52 years. She will be missed dearly by her children, Debbie (Bob Haywood), Lee Rice (the late Bob Rice), Joe (Tracey MacPherson) and Mac (Diane Rodriques) and by her grandchildren, Maureen, Luke, Margaret, Hillary, Robert, Frank, Kendra, Laura, Maika, Jeffrey, Bailey and Garth and her 13 great-grandchildren. She will also be dearly missed by her sister-in-law Margaret (Ta) Peck who was her lifelong friend. She is survived by her sisters Wilma Bahm and Carmel Bakstad, her brother Fred and predeceased by her brother Bob. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Mike McLaughlin and her sister-in-law, Phoebe Gibson and many nieces and nephews.Thank you to the staff of the Foyer D'Accueil de Gracefield staff who provided Etta with wonderful care. Visitation at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Venosta, Quebec to begin at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 23rd with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM.
