To the family of Miss O'Brien:
Heavy hearts indeed. Although not my Grade 3 teacher, she was a reassuring presence to me and my siblings at Holy Name. Strict and kind in the same breath, I'm sure Moms and Dads thanked God every day for Miss O'Brien.

To the McCallum kids Aunt Rita was affectionately known as Tant Rita. For two weeks every summer we were the privileged ones to join her on berry picking adventures (always looking over our shoulder for a bear), horsing around on the bay in the "Sportspal canoe" trying to catch turtles, and heading off to church on Sunday where she took great pride playing the organ and singing hymns. Thank you for the wonderful memories. We were the lucky ones to have you as a role model. Fondly loved and remembered by Liz, Barb & Fred

Rita was a wonderful lady. We have many good memories of her playing the organ at our little church in Desjardins & playing the dice game at the annual picnic.

My dear Aunt Rita was a gentle fun loving soul who loved to laugh. Her kindness showed through in the loving way she treated everyone. We enjoyed many good times at the shore and we would often see Aunt Rita walking in the warm waters of the bay with her pant legs rolled up. Such a beautiful person. Loving you always Aunt Rita.
