You are all in our thoughts.
Cherish the special moments Alec shared in both music and life and have peace in knowing he is with the ones he loved dearly. What a legacy he left. need him close, want to reflect. Just add music and let your memories do the rest.
Hugs to you all

I have so many fond memories of Alec's faith, kindness and musical expertise. It was a great privilege to travel with he and Brenda to services at St James Otter Lake in the late 90s, to share with him the wonderful hospitality and kindness of his sister Elizabeth and all their amazing family. My prayers are with you all at this time of loss and i trust that God will shower you all with grace and blessings in the coming years...

Our condolences to all the family on Alex's death.
We along with many others enjoyed his fiddle playing. It was a testament to his expertise that he was inaugurated into the Ottawa Valley Music Hall of Fame. His quiet understated sense of humour was enjoyed at many of our family gatherings.
In addition I want to express our condolences on Elizabeth's death as well We had not heard of her passing.

I grew up in Ladysmith, and from a very young age I loved music and would absolutely get glassy-eyed listening to Alec Cobb and His Moonlight Ramblers playing for dances at the hall. You could usually find me perched at the edge of the stage and taking it all in. They were awesome!
I had the good fortune to chat with Alec last year at an event we were both attending. He didn't remember me because I was 12 years younger than him, and just a wee lad when I sat admiring him, but he knew our family, and it was a pleasure to spend a few moments reminiscing.
May he rest in peace. My sincere condolences to the family.
