Obituary of Willard Sparling

Peacefully in palliative care at the Pontiac Community Hospital, Shawville, Quebec on Saturday, May 4, 2013, Willard Sparling, beloved husband of Lorna Zadow. Loving father of Gwen (Ken Evans) of Shawville and Eleanor (Gamal Mazri) of Ottawa. Dear grandfather of Haley (Steven Jones), Amy, Jack, Owen, Kamal and Nafesa. Great grandfather to Nathan. Will be missed by sister Barbara (Duncan Fulford) of Cornwall Ontario. Predeceased by brother Lyall (Eva) of Ottawa. Friends may call at W. J. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home, 134 Centre St., Shawville, Quebec on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, May 8, 2013 to Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle, Shawville for service at 2 p.m. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery. Reception will be held following the interment in the funeral home. Willard was a farmer for many years before starting his 30 years of devoted and faithful service at the funeral home. He was a carpenter, horse man, and handy guy to have around as those who knew him can attest. He will be missed.
