Obituary of Lynn Lang

LANG, Mary “Lynn” Elliott, RN – Shawville, QC July 17, 1950 - Dec 23, 2012 Peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal, Quebec, on Dec 23, 2012 surrounded by her family at the age of 62. Loving wife of Elwyn Lang. Cherished mother to Robert (Stephanie), Ralph (Melanie) and Andrew (Chrissy). Proud Grandma to her pride and joy, Kendal, Grayson, Ryan, Abbagail, Payton, Marissa, Gibbson, and Elliott. Loving daughter to Isabel and the late Bud Elliott. Much loved sister to Charlie (Elizabeth), Marsha (Myles Richardson) and Barbara (John Carson). Cherished daughter-in-law to Margaret (the late Lawrence Lang) and sister-in-law to Jack (Elaine), Joan (Dave Rusenstrom), Joyce (Donnie Trafford) and Carol (Norm Beck). Lynn will also be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews, as well as friends, co-workers and neighbours. Lynn touched many lives as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. She will be sadly missed by the farming community. She was a strong community leader. Her volunteer work included: Fair Board director and past president of the Pontiac Agricultural Society, Victoria’s Quilts, active member of the Anglican Church, and past member of the A.Y.W.A. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 1:40 p.m. Funeral Saturday to St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Shawville for Service at 2 p.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. Donations to Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation-O.R.
