Obituary of Nelson Angus

It is with great sadness that the family of Nelson Angus announce his passing on June 26, 2012, age 81, in the Pontiac Community Hospital, Shawville, Quebec. Nelson was the beloved husband of 54 years to Theresa (Terry) Jenkins and much loved Dad to his children; Blair (Nancy), Blaine (Erica), Peter (Denise) and Chris. Dear brother of Dora Buckley (late Arthur Buckley) of London, Ontario and the late Donald (late Enid) Angus of Ottawa, Ontario. Predeceased by his parents Norris Angus and Ella Palmer of Shawville, Quebec. “Papa” will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren; Shealyn, Katrina, David, Justin, Daniel, Ben, Holly, Chelsea and Jayden. Nelson was a member (with perfect attendance) of the Shawville Lions Club for 49 years. A family man, Nel’s passions were hockey and maintaining his backyard swimming pool. Friends may call at W. J. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home, Shawville, Quebec on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Lions Memorial Service will take place Friday evening at 8:30 p.m. There will be no visitation on service day. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 30 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edward’s Roman Catholic Church, Bristol, Quebec. Interment St. Edward’s Cemetery. Donations to Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
