Obituary of Myrtle Young

Passed away in hospital, Shawville, Quebec on Sunday, December 18, 2011, Myrtle Young Woermke of Shawville in her 93rd year . Beloved wife of the late Linden Young (1998). Dear mother of Dean, of Ottawa, the Late Gail Young, of Shawville, and Peter (Liza) of Marathon. Predeceased by her brothers Leslie, Gordon, and Donald (Joan) of Norway Bay. Beloved sister of Allan (Dorothy), of Bristol, Olive Malette (Wilmar), Portage Du Fort, and Shirley Thomas (late Gerald) of Bristol. Sister-in-law of Margaret McPhail, of Peterborough, Marshall (Faye) of Arnprior and predeceased by brothers-in-law, Melvin, Orla, Lawrence, Allan and Earl. Cherished Grandmother of Colleen, Linda, Steven, Melanie, John, Mark, Luke, Katie, and Matthew and Great Grandmother of 17. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and as well as her many friends and staff at the Pontiac Reception Centre. Friends may call at W. J. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 12:30 pm until service time. Funeral Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery.
