Obituary of Ruby Corrigall

Passed away peacefully with family by her side at long-term care in Shawville, Quebec October 27, 2011. Predeceased by the love of her life Jim. Loving mother of Brian (Eileen), Logan Lake, B.C., Pat (Bridget), Shawville, & Kathy (late Bernie Elliott), Kanata. Cherished grandmother of 6 and great-grandmother of eight. Predeceased by brothers Dalton (Phyliss), Lionel (Norma), Harry (Frances), Leo, and sisters Evelyn Twolan, Viola (Edward Lewis), Doris (Ken Shanks), Leona (Ervin Chabot). An amazing woman who loved people and working for her community. She was a proud business owner of J.R. Shop, enjoyed travelling, golfing, cross country skiing, and spending time with family. Ruby was an inspiration to all. Special thanks to the long term care staff, Dr. Chambers, Father Costello and special friend Shirley Tanner. Visitation will be at St. Edward’s Parish, 36 Aylmer Rd, Bristol, QC Friday, Nov. 4, 2011 from 12:30- 1:30 pm followed by mass at 1:30. Interment St. Edward’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to W.J. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home, 134, Centre St, Shawville (819-647-2221).
