I want to express my heartfelt condolences to Mark's family and say that the service and eulogy was beautiful. I had the honor of working with Mark at the Co-operators, I had known him for many years and then had the privilege of working closely with him in the Ottawa reporting center. I will never forget our early morning chats over coffee in the office, the fun things a group of us would do after work, (crazy 80's movie night, going out for wings). When I worked in Ottawa I was away from home several nights a week and Mark made that easier with his friendship and amazing smile! Rest peacefully my friend, I will never forget you.

My deepest condolences to the MacDonell family. I got to know Mark several years ago when I became an Auto Unit Specialist. Mark and I had an awesome working relationship and I will miss him dearly. We often spoke on the phone or chatted on Skype regarding work related questions but always took the time to catch up and enjoy what was going on in each other's lives. I was deeply saddened to hear that he had passed away and will always remember our friendship/kinship fondly.

I hadn't seen Mark for years until our last 2 '91 grad get-togethers and I was happy to see him make the last one since I knew he had been really sick in between. I thought he was on the mend so I was very shocked when I found out he had passed away.
Mark and I may not have been best friends, but I am proud to say he was a friend.
