Obituary of Ralph Durrell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ralph Wayne Durrell, born on September 14th 1945 of Bryson Quebec. He passed away on Friday, April 29th, 2016 at the age of 70 years old in Shawville, Quebec. Ralph is predeceased by his parents Arthur Durrell and Harriet Tourangeau, his brother Thomas Durrell and his son Terry Durrell. He leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Margaret Levesque, his daughter Bonnie Durrell and his two sons Ronnie Durrell and Arthur Durrell. Ralph will be fondly remembered for his friendly personality and his ability to strike up conversation with anyone he met. A graveside service will be held in Bryson, Quebec at the United Cemetery on Saturday, May 7th, 2016 at 11 a.m. followed immediately by the interment. As per Ralph’s wishes, there will be no visitation. The Durrell family wishes to thank Dr. O’Neil and Dr. Karabatsos along with the staff from the Shawville Hospital for the excellent care Ralph received in his final moments. A heartfelt thank you also goes out to the Levesque family, neighbours and many friends that offered support to him and his family members in their time of need. Donations to the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
