Obituary of Bernard Conroy

Passed away peacefully in hospital, Ottawa, Ontario on Sunday, April 24, 2016 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Teresa (nee Fortune). Loving father of Patricia Kollee (Larry), Karen Cowden (Paul), Tim (Elizabeth Simpson), Barry (Kelly Comeau), Ron (Candy Gleason) and Trevor (Seanna Hoendermis). Proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents Martin and Edna Mae Conroy as well as his brother Michael. He is survived by his brothers Gordon, Ken, and Francis and his sisters Bernice Battis, Joan Sallafranque, Marilyn and Norma Duggan. Friends are invited to share their memories of Bernard with his family during visitation at the Hayes Funeral Home, 95 St. Jacques Street, Chapeau, PQ on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 2 p.m.to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and after 9:30 am on Thursday April 28, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Alphonsus Church, Chapeau at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. The family would like to thank the great staff at Miramichi Lodge for their care over the last number of years. At the request of the family, no flowers please, but donation to the Lung Association would be appreciated.
