Obituary of Gerald Hobbs

Life Legacy On January 3, 2016 at the age of 81, Gerry Hobbs passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Marianhill Residence, Pembroke, ON. Beloved and devoted husband to the” Love of His Life” Doris Sullivan, who was by his side to the end. Dear father of Kenny (Marie Marion), Colleen (Dennis Stow) and Lorraine (Ray Béchamp). Predeceased by son Jude (died at birth) and parents Charlie and Gladys (Ferris) and loving brother of Dorothy Perry of Detroit. Proud grandfather of Paul, Kevin, Shawn, Bruce, Jennifer and Alexie. Loving great-grandfather of Jacob, Jaxson, Jayce and Abby. Gerry loved cooking and woodworking and devoted the last 12 years of his life to caring for his wife who is stricken with Alzheimers. He whistled always . . . everywhere . . . and at all times of the day! The family extends a special thanks to the incredible caregivers and staff at Marianhill. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Marianhill Long Term Care facility or the Canadian Alzheimers Society. A Celebration of Life will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church, 160 Front Street, Campbell‘s Bay, Quebec on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 11 a.m.
