Obituary of Brenda Sanftenberg

In hospital, Renfrew, Ontario, on Monday, September 16, 2013 in her 71st year. Predeceased by her husband Osborne Sanftenberg. Daughter of the late Beecher Fraser & Annie Malette. Dear mother of Penny (late Jim O’Kane), Mervin and Joanne (Brad Elliott). Loved grandmother of David, Katherine, Logan, Kris (Jason Trudeau), Kayla, Kelsea & Keasha. Great-grandmother to Ava & Tegan. Dear sister to Jean (Don Martineau), Forest (Rose), Freda (late Andy Kelly), Cathy and Joe (Winnie). Predeceased by siblings Mervin (Barb), Patricia (Gerald Manwell), Leonard (Marilyn), Raymond (Iris), Diane and Ted (Judy). Also left to mourn is her best friend Roy Zimmerling. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces & nephews. Friends may call at W. J. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home, 134 Centre St., Shawville, Quebec on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, September 19 from 9-11 a.m. Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel. Interment Portage du Fort Community Cemetery. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
