Obituary of Lennis Walsh

Dairy & Beef Farmer-Bee Keeper-Maple Syrup Producer It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear father, Lennis Walsh, at his home on the family farm, on Saturday, August 29, 2015 in his 95th year. Son of the late Clifford Walsh and Maye Wilson of Shawville, Quebec. Beloved husband of the late Pearl Brownlee (1997) for 54 years. Dad will be greatly missed by his children Ronald (Joyce), Robert (Toi), Bruce, Leslie (Darlene), Joan (Philip Lemenchick), Sharon (Robert Dastous) and Viola (Robert Menard). Cherished by 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. He will also be dearly missed by sisters Dorothy (Lawrence Cross) of Wakefield, Quebec, Hazel (Alton Weedmark) of Carp, Ontario and his brother Earl (Elaine) of Huntsville, Ontario. Predeceased by brothers Gilbert (late Dorothy), Mayburn (late Marie), Ebert (Priscilla), Keith (Marilyn) and sister Doreen. Dad will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and good friends. Funeral Service will be held in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 16 Skyline Road, Cobden, Ontario on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 2 p.m. A private interment will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shawville, Quebec at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the charity of their choice. The family wishes to thank the Shawville Hospital, the CLSC and particularly, Dr. Pascal Croteau for their kind and compassionate care.
