Obituary of Donna Workman

Life Legacy It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Donna on August 7, 2015, at the age of 74, in hospital, Shawville, Quebec. She leaves behind her best friend and husband of 52 years, Ken, daughters Nancy (Scott Crain), Debbie (Bentley Hobbs) and son Doug. Very special Nana to Sarah Buxton (predeceased), Kyle Buxton, Sydney Crain, MacKenzie Crain and Ben Crain. Devoted daughter of the late Albert and Theresa Gill (nee Maxwell). Daughter-in-Law of the late Bill and Delores Workman (nee MacGregor). Sister of the late Eldon Gill (Audrey), late Delmer Gill (late Shirley), Bruce Gill (Joan) and sister-in-law of Ron Workman (Marion). Caring Aunt to many nieces, nephews and beloved cousins. Throughout this journey the outpouring of support and love from friends and family has been overwhelming and so very much appreciated. Donna and family are indebted to the physicians, nursing team and staff of the Shawville Hospital ER and Oncology and Palliative Care Units for their incredible kindness and compassion. Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on August 11, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. There will be no visitation on service day. Funeral will be held in St. Andrew’s Knox United Church, 72 Aylmer Road, Bristol, Quebec on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in church hall. Private Interment at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, Ontario. Donations to the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation, CHEO Oncology Unit or Children’s Wish Foundation would be appreciated.
