I was just so saddened to hear this news. June was my supervisor for 7 years in Cardiology at CHEO, and she was such a kind, caring person. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her. She sure loved her husband and family and often spoke fondly of you...baking cookies with her grandchildren was just one of her happy times which she talked about.
I just can't imagine the shock this is to you all and how much your hearts are aching. I remember June quoting part of the hymn "Rock of Ages Cleft for me" and "The Old Rugged Cross" and I would encourage you to find your safety and comfort in the Lord Jesus, "The Son of God Who loved me and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20.
To June's dear loved ones, just letting you that I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers--as I did with June these past 25 years.
Yes, I miss you June, my heart aches too. You were a bright ray of sunshine in my life. Thank you. I will treasure your memories.

I will always remember my first time playing darts. I really was worried about how terrible I would be. June told me she was proud of me for getting a decent score and made me want to continue. I was going through a hard time then and she helped more than she realized. What a special person!
