Obituary of Robert Gordon

Peacefully, in hospital, Shawville, Quebec on Friday, March 27, 2015, in his 72nd year, surrounded by his spouse Lorraine, children Jennifer and Michael and brothers Wesley and Okie. Predeceased by parents Hilda Oke and Robert M. Gordon Sr. Beloved spouse of Lorraine Godin. Dear step-father to Jennifer Kingsbury (Roger Larose) and Michael Kingsbury (Tracey Frost). Loving grandfather of Melanie, Nicholas, Matthew, Dylan and Hollie. Special great-grandfather to Mackenzie, Morgan and Carson. He will be missed by sisters Belva Armitage (Wayne), Joan Armitage (John Murphy and the late Scott), Anna Gordon, and brothers Okie (Betty Bradley) and Wesley (Lise Villeneuve). Predeceased by sisters Bernice Palmer (Webster) and Hilda Patterson, brother John and niece Melinda Gordon. He will be greatly missed by many nephews and nieces. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to time of service. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment at a later date in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Otter Lake, Quebec. Donations to The Quebec Lung Association or the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
