Obituary of Doreen Dubeau

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that Doreen’s family announce her peaceful passing at Marianhill Palliative Care Unit at the age of 79 years. Beloved wife of the late Alcide Dubeau. Dearly loved and cherished mother of Linda (Shane Allard), Lorraine (Daniel Demers), Sandra (late Denis Bellerose), Suzanne (Philippe Pilon), Brian (Melissa Carroll) and Robert (Wanda Ranger).Doreen adored her 27 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Each and every one held a special place in her heart. Doreen is also survived by her sister Pauline Lance and her brother John Bérubé. Doreen was a special Auntie to many nieces and nephews and leaves to mourn many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Doreen is predeceased by her parents Cléophas and Cecilia Bérubé, and by her sister Madeleine, brothers Peter Senack, Paul Senack, Kenneth Bérubé, Arnold Bérubé and Willard Bérubé. Doreen and Alcide Dubeau were the previous owners of the Chez Charles Hotel in Demers-Centre, Quebec and later built Dubeau’s Grocery on Isle-aux-Allumettes, Quebec. Throughout her life Doreen maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that captured the hearts of everyone she met. Her signature gift of joy shown through her constant smile will never be forgotten. Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 56 St. Jacques Street, Chapeau, Quebec on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 3-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 14, 2015 in St. Alphonsus Church, Chapeau, Quebec at 11 a.m. Interment St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery.
