Obituary of Katherine Letts

After a courageous battle, Katherine passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28th, 2015. Devoted and cherished wife of Erwin Mohr and loving mother of Jaymie Armitage (Kelly McCracken) and William Armitage. Kathy was predeceased by her first husband, Peter Armitage and mother, Edith Campbell-Letts. She will be greatly missed by her many family members, father Gilbert Letts, Marilyn Letts, Hazel Russell (Garry), Judy Judd (Brent), Garry Letts, Norma Fogg (Gordon), Shirley-Mae Davis (Lorne), Fred Mohr (Linda), late Winona Keon, Derrick Mohr (Lisa), Kevin Mohr (Kate), Karl Mohr, late David Armitage, Gloria Simpson (nee Armitage), Bonnie Armitage and Kevin Armitage. Survived by her mother-in-law, Doris Elaine Mohr-Bronson (nee Hamilton), her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members, and grandchildren, Chelsea, Hillary, Marcello, Avery and Kolten. The family would like to express a special thank you to her devoted friends who supported her throughout all the moments of tears and laughter. Thanks and appreciation also to the Palliative Care Unit, Doctor Croteau, Doctor MacLellan, the nursing staff and the many volunteers of the Shawville Hospital. Friends may call at the Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Friday, January 30th from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, January 31st from 10 to 2 p.m. Funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with a reception to follow. Interment Mohr’s Cemetery, Quyon, Quebec in the summer. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Kathy’s memory be made to the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care Unit.
