Peter, Kathy and Debbie, Our thoughts are with you and your family as you grieve the loss of Anne and, adjust to a life without her. She was a genuinely caring person we enjoyed working alongside or interacting with during the glory years of "Fred's".
Anne embraced our Hungarian Immigrant Family with a true understanding of our challenges and hopes for the future. I had the honour of working with her while living/working on our tobacco farm during my university summer break.
Rest in Peace Anne. You were a bright light in our lives. Save us a seat.
Magda, Anna and Andy on behalf of the Rigo Family.

My thoughts and prayers are with all Anne's family and friends. What a history her and her family created. They impacted so many people far and wide in so many ways over so many years. Anne's death brought many memories of Fred's and the family. Her hardy laugh, her friendly ways, her delicious meals, her to die for butterscotch pies.....are memories never to be forgotten. Anne is gone where we all must go someday leaving behind our loved ones to mourn us. Enjoy each day as we don't know when it will come. Rip Anne. You served us well, done the race and are now at peace.

To all of Anne's family and friends this has been a great loss in our lives as we have known her for some years and have had so many great gatherings and sharing stories of good times and bad. Her passing has left an immense void in our lives and she will be missed terribly every day but will live on in great memories we have of her.

To Debbie and the Meilleur Family.
So very sorry to hear of Anne's passing. Aside from all the fond memories of fun evenings and great dinners made by Anne at Fred's, I had the occasion to run into Anne a few times here in Toronto, in more recent years. She always had a big friendly hello, time to chat, and share a laugh, like no time had passed at all. She will be remembered for her kind and welcoming nature. I'm sure she will be missed by many. My sincere sympathies to all. Colleen Grace

My husband and I were in the food business, and on Sundays we would often get over to Fred's for breakfast with our two young children in tow. If we were there in the evening,, Anne might make me a special omelet with old cheddar. Always a good conversation with her. Condolences to the family.

Anne was an amazing person. The summer I worked at Fred’s I was so lucky to have many meals in her kitchen. That was her castle and she ruled it. Had many different pies that summer. Loved the whole family so much. RIP my friend.

My deepest sympathies to all the family. I knew Anne most of my life and particularly enjoyed working with her at Fred’s. She taught me so much about cooking and customer service. It was her who taught me to make pork tenderloin and butterscotch pie. We used to exchange Christmas cards for years after she moved to Ottawa. The last time I got to hug her was at the Fred’s musical at the arena. She will be fondly remembered.

Condolences to the Meilleur family. One of the most memorable and fun fiddle contests that we ever attended was the weekend at Sturgeon Falls years ago. Anne and Lorraine joined the trailer group, our sides were sore from laughing, she said later how much she enjoyed herself. Anne had a wonderful personality. R.I.P.
