Obituary of Michael "Magoo" Romain

Michael John “Magoo” Romain of Chapeau, Quebec, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024 in hospital, after his year long battle with cancer at the age 69.  He was lovingly surrounded by his daughters and eldest granddaughter.  He will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched by his precious presence in their lives.

He is predeceased by wife Joan (Gaudette), his parents Maurice and Rita Romain, his brother George and cousin Claude (Pito) Romain as well as Clora Fleury who was his loving partner for several years.

He is survived by his daughters; Kerri-Ann (Antonio) and Angela (Al-Lech) as well as his beloved grandchildren; Ebony (Melvin), Essa-Rae, Chance, Olivia, Alecsa and Emma.  He will be missed by his siblings; Maurice (Debbie), Bobby (Viola), Martha (TJ), Betty (Larry), Marion (Davey), Claude (Tracy), Lillian (Randy) and Connie (Wayne) as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 14, 2024 in St-Alphonsus Church, Chapeau, Quebec at 10:30 a.m.  Interment parish cemetery.
