Obituary of Ellen Scobie

Ellen Scobie born December 24, 1920 in Ottawa, Ontario, died peacefully January 6, 2015 at Manoir Sacré Coeur in Mansfield, Quebec. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Anna Stanley, brothers Keith and Erik, husband James and son Campbell. Survived by her daughter Diane, sons Erik and Cliff Ahearn, as well as her sisters Ruth and Jean, her brother Roger, her grandchildren Scott, Steve, Willow, Liam, Christie, great-children Ben, Drake, Jessica, Brooke, and many nieces and nephews. Employed at Harold Nettleton Jewelers for over 35 years and McIntosh and Watts for over 15 years. She was an elder with the Aylmer United Church where she ran the children’s nursery for over 60 years and an active member of the R.A. bowling league for over 50 years. She enjoyed knitting and following the Ottawa Senators. Service will be held at Aylmer United Church on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please give to the Ottawa Senators’ Foundation.
