Obituary of Grace Joynt (nee Graham)

It is with great sadness that the family of Grace Joynt (nee Graham) announce her passing at home after a brief illness

on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the age of 78. 

Predeceased by her parents Wilmer and Anne (nee Craig), she will be sadly missed by her daughter Sonja (Bill), her cherished grandchildren; Joshua and Hannah and her beloved sister Nora (late Jim).  Survived by dear nieces, nephews, cousins as well as a host of long-time friends, family and neighbours. 

Retired from Zurich Insurance and the financial community after 30+ years of service, she always had fond memories of her colleagues, clients, her dearest friends (Ken’s Girls) and their shared accomplishments. 

Gracie made all of our lives brighter with her laughter, warm smiles and hugs that lasted for days.  She will be remembered for the gracious way she lived every day to the end, treated every person she met in life, and loved those she kept closest. 

Special thanks to her Physicians, the QWC ACE unit, her PSW caregivers for their gentle care and to her dear friends and neighbours for their daily support. 

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at St. Andrew’s Knox United Church, 72 Aylmer Road, Bristol Quebec at 11 a.m.  Interment Norway Bay United Cemetery followed by a reception.  In her memory, donations may be made to the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation (ACE Unit).
