Obituary of Gaétan Bertrand

C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous vous faisons part du décès de Gaétan « Gates » Bertrand né le 20 mai 1957. Décédée paisiblement le 1er janvier 2015 à l’âge de 57 ans entouré de sa famille bien aimée. Gates tu as mené ton combat avec espoir, courage et une foi très forte. Il laisse dans le deuil l’amour de sa vie Shelley Lamarche, ses enfants et petits-enfants, ses 3 enfants adores et précieux ; Ethien, Izac et Aggie (mère de ses enfants Cathy Vallée) et ses 3 sœurs chéries ; Denise (Randy), Mireille (Armand) et Lucie (Eldon). Il sera aussi regrette par plusieurs neveux, nièces, oncles, tantes, cousins, cousines, ainsi que plusieurs bons amis. Il était le fils adore de Gerald Bertrand (feu) et Doril Lacroix (feu) et son cher frère Ronnie (feu). La famille désire remercier toute les équipes médicales pour les bons soins prodiges durant sa maladie. Un gros MERCI du plus profond de nos cœurs a tous les personnes qui ont été la pour Gaétan durant son combat. Il n’y aura pas se visites au salon funéraire. La messe des funérailles sera célébrée à l’église St. Pierre, Fort Coulonge, Québec le jeudi 8 janvier 2015 a 15 heures. Passed away peacefully on January 1st 2015 at the age of 57 years surrounded by his beloved family. Gates you have fought your battle with hope courage and strong faith. He is leaving the love of his life Shelley Lamarche and her children and grand children. His 3 adored and precious children Ethien, Izac and Aggie (mother of his children Cathy Vallée). Also his 3 beloved sisters Denise (Randy), Mireille (Armand) and Lucie (Eldon). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws, as well as many good friends. He was the precious son of the late Gerald Bertrand and Doril Lacroix and dear brother of the late Ronnie. The family wishes to express their gratitude for all the good medical services. To the people that was present during his illness, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will be celebrated at St. Pierre Church, Fort Coulonge, Quebec on Thursday January 8th 2015 at 3 p.m. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Hayes Funeral Home, Fort Coulonge, Quebec.
