Obituary of Diane Richard (nee Telford)

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and wife to late husband, Diane Richard, who peacefully departed from this world on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the age of 65.

Born on July 3, 1958, Diane lived a life filled with love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family.  For 41 years, she was the beloved wife of Sylvio Richard, their bond a testament to the enduring power of love and commitment.

Diane leaves behind her four surviving children, Andrea (James), Keri-Ann (Darcy), Nathalie, Sébastien (Megan), whom she raised with boundless love and devotion.  Beyond her role as a mother, Diane was a beloved grandmother, adored by her grandchildren; Blair, Zoé, Ethan, Colin and Emily, who brought immense joy and laughter into her life.

Diane will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith.  Her presence brought comfort to those around her, and her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled.

As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate the beautiful life Diane lived and the profound impact she had on all who knew her.  Though she may no longer walk beside us, her love will continue to guide us, her memory forever cherished in our hearts.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 in Shawville United Church, Shawville, Quebec at 11 a.m.  Interment Maple Grove cemetery.  All who knew and loved her are invited to join us in honouring her memory.  

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to St-Joseph's Manor or the Ontario Rett Syndrome Association (ORSA) in the name of her grand-daughter Zoé in honor of Diane's compassionate spirit and dedication to helping others.

Rest in peace mom, you're with dad now. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
