Obituary of Lorn Clarence Hodgins
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lorn Clarence Hodgins at Hull Hospital on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 83. Dear son of the late Edmund and Beulah Hodgins. Loving husband of Bernice for an amazing 65 years. Lovingly remembered by his daughter Deborah (Brian Russett). Predeceased by his daughter Laurie Ann. Special grandfather of Brian Jr. and Danny. Cherished great grandfather to Bridan, Peyton and Brennan. Dear brother of the late Dorothy, late Lloyd (late Marjorie), Doreen (late Philias), late Glen (late Jean), Ronnie (late Denise), late Eileen (late Charlie Smith), late Velma (Reuben Harris), late Mabel (Myrland Sparling) and late Herbie (late Norma). So sadly missed by his sister-in-law Roberta and brother-in-law Les. Lovingly cherished by very special nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lorn worked at Hilton Mines for over 20 years as general foreman in maintenance, he was Lorn’s T.V. Towers for years, then went to General Motors in Oshawa for 20 years as a machine repairman.
Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Monday, March 25, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a Chapel Service at 12 p.m. officiated by Rev. Edwin Valles. Reception will take place in the funeral home. Interment Shawville Pentecostal Cemetery.
