Obituary of David LaSalle

Gone to heaven surrounded by his loving family in hospital, Ottawa, Ontario on Friday, March 1, 2024 at the young age of 40. David was a fighter to the very end and will be greatly missed by his loving wife Christine Cote and his children, Kaleb (Darleena Larocque) Joshua (Rose Voisin), Danica, Tristan & Olivia. Cherished son of Jean-Guy LaSalle & Connie Gutoskie and son in law of Andre Cote & Sharon Jean-Marie. Dear brother to Patrick (Ashley Pasch), Vanessa (Michael Halinski) and Andre (Caryl McCann). Special and cherished Uncle to Gracie, Leah, Abby, Maxime, Audrey, Isaac, Elodie & Charlotte. Predeceased by his niece Kaitlyn Cote. Survived by his grand-parents, Ed & Rose Gutoskie, & Doreen Hodgins and predeceased by Philias Jean-Marie. David was loved by so many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. He made everyone feel like family.

David was an extreme sports fan which is probably an understatement!  He lived life in the fast lane. He also loved playing hockey, golf and fishing with his children, something he grew up doing with his dad and papere. David took the opportunity to coach all three of his sons in minor hockey and made a lasting impact on many other players and families throughout the years. Out of all his favorite things, playing mini sticks with all his children was by far #1! Family was everything to David. The most thoughtful, kind, generous husband, father, brother and friend.

The family wishes to thank the caring staff at the Montfort hospital, the team at L’hopital Fleurimont, Dr. Poon, Dr. Guay and Dr. MacLellan, for their dedicated care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.

Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m and on Wednesday, March 6^th from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the Church of Faith, Praise & Prayer,  1225 Route 148, Campbell’s Bay, Quebec.   Reception to follow in the church hall.
