Obituary of Alice Dolan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Alice Vivian Mulligan on February 15, 2023 at the age of 93 years.  Predeceased by her husband, Earl Dolan.  Beloved sister-in-law of Noreen (Eric Russell) and predeceased by brother-in-law Fred Dolan (late Elizabeth), (Gladys Dolan).  Daughter of the late Violet McLellan and Ivan Mulligan.  Loving mother of Cathy, Terry (Dawn Smith), Cheryl and Ivan (Madeleine Gauthier). Cherished grandmother of Tommy (Erin), Peter, Leigh (Matthew), Katie (Ben), Patrick, Kathleen and Danny (Haley).  Great grandmother of Keyleigh, Priya, Paddy, Cameron, Michael, Harry, Lily and Sofia.  Alice was born on June 15, 1930.  She was the owner of Dolan’s Fabric Shop in Quyon, Quebec and Renfrew, Ontario for many years.  She was a long time member of the CWL in Quyon as well as the Quyon Lionettes. 

Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 1040 Clarendon Street, Quyon, Quebec on Monday, February 19, 2024 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.  Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St Mary’s Church at 11 a.m.  Interment in the spring in St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Following the Mass, a reception will be held in the Royal Canadian Legion, 26 John Street, Quyon. 

A special thank you to Liz, Bonnie, Carly and all the doctors, nurses and staff for the great care given to our mother during her stay at CAP.   Thanks also to Cecile, Shannon, Dana and to everyone who donated to the luncheon at the Legion, and to all who came to sing the beautiful hymns at the funeral mass. It was greatly appreciated.
