Obituary of Brian Coventry

It is with hearts full of sadness that we announce the passing of a very loving husband and father, Brian Coventry on Thursday, January 4, 2024.

Brian was born July 22, 1945 in Ottawa, Ontario.  He is survived by his spouse of 55 years, Barbara (nee Yates) and his son Ian.  He will be missed by many cousins, friends, close community members in L’Isle-aux-Allumettes and Pembroke.   Brian is predeceased by his parents Fred Coventry and Mary Klein. 

Brian spent the bulk of his career in banking and financial services; he was also active in the community, including serving terms on Municipal Council and the Board of Directors of Pembroke Regional Hospital.  Brian was an accomplished guitar player and had a wonderful singing voice.  He was always ready with a witty quip or a joke, a friendly smile and a twinkle in his eyes.  

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 16, 2024 in St. Joseph’s Church, 5 rue St-Joseph, L’Isle-aux-Allumettes, Quebec at 11 a.m.
