Obituary of Frank Belland

It’s with very heavy hearts that the family of Frank Belland announces his passing on Monday, November 13, 2023 after a long and fierce battle against lung cancer at the tender age of 51.  He was surrounded by his loving family while he peacefully took his last breath in hospital, Shawville, Quebec.  He will be deeply missed by his wife and devoted partner of over 32 years Sylvie Hérault and his 3 loving children who made him so proud Vanessa, Austin (Hali) and Kianna (Matt).  He leaves to mourn his mother Doreen Lance,  predeceased by his father William Belland.  He also leaves behind siblings, nieces and nephews, father and mother-in-law, brother-in-law as well as many good friends.  He will be fondly remembered by all.

Frank was born in Shawville and raised in Campbell’s Bay where he spent all of his life enjoying the outdoors, whether it be bird hunting, ATVing, boating or ice fishing.  He was a talented singer, guitarist and loved to entertain his friends with his stories, jokes and good laughs.  The Family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and préposés at the Pontiac Community Hospital for the wonderful care he received during his multiple hospital stays.  A special thanks to homecare nurse Melissa who went above and beyond during Frank’s care. We will forever be grateful.

As per Frank’s wishes there will be no service.  We invite you to honor his memory in your own way, over a Caesar or rye and ginger ale as those were Frank’s favorite drinks to enjoy in good company.  Donations made to the Canadian cancer society would be greatly appreciated.
