Obituary of Richard "Dickie" Bowie
Richard took his last breath in his beloved Pontiac on November 7, 2023. He was born, raised and lived most of his 98 years in Campbell’s Bay, Quebec. Son of the late Frederick Bowie and Katherine Griffin. Beloved husband of the late Juliette Rouleau. Loving father of Marlene (Frank Gramann), Ann (Martin Nicole), James (Dianne Dagenais) and Thomas. Loving grandfather of Sue Bond (Steve), Cindy Gramann, Shannon Gramann (Maureen), Louis Nicole (Judy), Rachel Nicole (Jean-Francois), Gaelen Bowie, Maggie Bowie (Jake), Devon Bowie. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Nicholas, Taylor, Zoe, Isabel, Brennan, Desmond, Riley, Jake, Hattie and Faye. He was the last surviving member of this large family. Predeceased by a son Frederick, his daughter Dale and by his siblings; Clement, Cletus, Charles, Raymond, Griffin, Francis, Keith and Muriel Johnston, Grace Johnston and Frieda McNally.
He was a Second World War Veteran and a founding member of Pontiac Legion Branch 162. He was a businessman, held the position of Registrar, Justice of the peace, school board member and real estate agent. He was a true gentleman, who loved sports, countryside drives, chocolates, politics and a good game of cribbage.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 24th 2023 in St. John the Evangelist Church, Campbell’s Bay, Quebec at 11 a.m. followed by burial in the parish cemetery and a reception at the Campbell’s Bay RA Hall.
