Our sincere condolences to Merrill, Laurel (James) & Timmy and all the family. It was an honour to know Lorraine who always took the time to have a conversation and ask about everyone. She also spoke so highly of Merrill and her kids and beautiful grandchildren who I was so fortunate to meet today at the celebration of life that she herself arranged. Mrs Hearty was one of just a handful of teachers who actually cared for her students, if your day wasn’t going very well she sit and give you kind words and a hug and a lot of encouragement, and come to check in with you making sure that your ok. She had little nicknames for people and never forgot them, after loosing contact with her for decades we exchanged text and her reply was “Hawkeye”. God bless you thank you for being you.
