Pat was always a special man in our Shawville Girls lives because he was married to Joy. Andre and I enjoyed being with Pat when he joined us for our Kousins Golf Tournament. Shelley and family. Words cannot express our sadness on hearing of Pat's passing. A true gentleman who always made you feel special when you talked with him and yes he did give great hugs. I remember him playing ball but especially hockey when he played for my dad's hockey team (Rheas Poisson Moyle's Hotel) great memories of him and your mom when they had the store always willing to go that extra mile for their customers. He is now free and at peace and reunited with Joy. Wonderful accolades and help from family and friends will help you during these dark days. Pat was a true gentleman, a friendly and caring man always interested in the lives of those around him.
We have great memories of our days when we were young and played baseball at the old fair grounds in Campbell's Bay and football at the Ranger farm on weekends. He was always ready for anything in sports, he enjoyed all of it.

Pat, without question, was one of the best people that I have known. It was an absolute honour, a joy and a true privilege to have known him. Pat treated family and friends like royalty. He was a very compassionate, caring and respectful individual. He never had a harsh word to say about anyone. When someone needed a helping hand, Pat was front and centre.
Pat was a true sports zealot. He was a very good athlete. Pat was excited to get together to visit with family and friends. He truly relished many types of friendly competition. I have fond memories of playing pool in Joy's and Pat’s recreation room, playing hockey on their front yard ice rink, playing sponge puck hockey with Pat and several friends on Sunday mornings at the ice rink in Shawville and, of course, the odd game of golf as well.
There was never a dull moment at Joy’s and Pat’s home where family and friends often gathered. There was always a game of cards or a board game to be played and everyone there was treated to world-class hospitality and great food. So many fond memories!
Pat, my friend, you will be missed by many. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. May you rest in peace.
