I met Janet in the spring of 1989. Stopping into Henderson’s groceries, her and Russ noticed the Ohio license plate on my car. Both being Americans, we got along like a house on fire. We also shared the same first name. They invited my two year old and I to their home for a pancake lunch with their prized maple syrup. I left with a bottle of rubard wine and and a few recipes. When my oldest daughter graduated, Janet came over to my house several times to help me alter the the pattern and sew up her prom dress. They were two of the kindest people I have ever met and they will be in my thoughts and prayers for years to come. May you rest in peace.
