My condolences to Maurice' family. I was a few years younger than "Wild Maurice", but still well able to heed the stories about him that circulated around Chapeau. He was a force to be reckoned with, so legend has it. I never saw him in a fight with anyone, and I was often in Fred's and Keon's when he was there. But the stories of his pugilistic skills spread up and down the valley - nobody would mess with Wild Maurice. In any case, he was always a gentleman to me, as were his parents, also legends in their time. RIP, Maurice.
