Helen was a wonderful friend to me for many years. I loved practicing and performing with Helen in the Sheen choir. Looking back she had so much patience with all of us. Sometimes once the practice was over I would convince Helen to play a JIG. We all loved that. We remained close even after I got married and moved away. It was "a must go to place" each time I came home to Sheen. Helen was the godmother of my oldest daughter Katie. I will always remember her laugh and her love of life. My most sincere condolences to Helens siblings and extended family

So very sorry for the family, nieces and nephews of Helen. She loved her nieces and nephews so very much. I have fond memories of she and Maureen taking many a road trip to Maryland for visits and holidays. She was a smart, sweet and caring person who touched all she met. Rest well Auntie Helen

I had my grade 12 co-op with Helen at Holy Name School. She was wonderful to work with and taught me so much. Years later anytime mom saw her she would always ask mom, "How's my little Tammy?".
So thoughtful.

Helen and I graduated together in Sheenboro, she went on to teaching and I AECL. For a short time we were neighbors in Pembroke as I lived at Margaret Fortin’s (Rabishaw) and Helen lived at Kenny Fortin’s on Metcalfe Street. We used to have great chats in the evenings. It was always nice to see she and Maureen at St. Joseph’s on Sunday mornings.

Helen started a children’s choir in Sheen when I was a kid. We loved being in that choir and Helen was so kind and patient with us all. I also had the privilege of practice teaching with Helen when she was at Holy Name in Pembroke and I was completing my B. Ed. She was a wonderful teacher and mentor. My condolences to the family.

My condolences to Helen's family for the loss of a sister which leaves a void that cannot be filled. My memories of Helen go back to 1957 when we attended St. Mary's Teacher's College in Chapeau. We would meet later at reunions where we would catch up on happenings in our lives. In later years I would meet she and Maureen at Mass at St.Columbkille Cathedral. A life well lived! May she rest in Peace!

My memory is of Helen with her sister Maureen at church weekly She had strong faith and was a witness for God to all she met. Quiet, constant but reassuring . I have missed their presence since her illness.
